@isaackoi10 a écrit:Funny French business -

As those of you that have followed this thread from the beginning know, during the last 2 or 3 weeks I have focused on sharing French UFO magazines/newsletters online (with the permission of relevant groups/editors) . Some funny stuff has happened during this time.

Firstly, my posts to the MUFON France group on Facebook seeking to inform their members of this free resource (and seeking assistance in getting further French UFO material shared freely online) have not been approved by the moderators there. (One of those moderators appears to be having a dispute with a skeptic that I thanked in the first posts that has not been approved, Patrice Seray. I thanked Patrice since he has helpfully providing several of the relevant scans...). In the meantime, quite a few posts by others selling books, magazines and other services have been posted in that Facebook group.

There is indeed a long-standing dispute with P. Seray, not only with Mufon France, but with much of what remains of French ufology. His work is commendable, but he has a self-sufficient character.  He is a persecuted person who likes to pass himself off as a victim to the rest of the community. These ideas do not reflect what most of us think. Why should skeptical prose be the only one that holds the key to the mystery around us? I remain convinced that their work is based only on "noise" and that the real source of the problem is elsewhere.

@isaackoi10 a écrit:Secondly, my user account on this forum has been deleted - _twice_ and my existing email addresses blocked from creating new accounts. I have had messages from the moderators here telling me that they have been mystified, that they have not deleted my account there and they cannot determine from their records how it was deleted - mentioning to me that 3 user accounts have been deleted from people posting "with very interesting topics".

Obviously the sharing of your work, and in essence, P. Seray's work is not appreciated by some people. Don't ask me why....

"Vimana" (France, 1960s):

Guy Tarade has now given me permission to upload his "Vimana" magazine.

Patrice Seray has provided scans of 4 of 6 (?) Issues which are now online at the link below. These are Issues 2, 3, 5, and 6. (I will track down the remaining issues).

Now that I can post links, perhaps I should start another thread that has my introduction at the top (the one that was deleted, leaving this as a rather odd thread with no introduction at the beginning)?

I could also then post an update on the scanning efforts in alphabetical order, along these lines:

Hello Isaac,

Tanks again for your awesome work. I think that it is a good idea to start a new thread dedicated you files with all the proper links to download download it.

This thread could be created in the «important ufo files» (les archives importantes de l'ufologie) section of this discussion board. Due to the importance of your work, I think it could be done by an administrator of the board as a pinned up thread, or maybe a completely new sub-section.

Best regards,

G.

Loreline, si vous passez par là... Wink

@Guillaume84 Arf !

I hope that my previous posts had already made it clear, from the numerous reference to him, that Patrice Seray has been a very useful source of scans of French material (certainly in the top 4 sources - together with SCEAU, Peter El Baze and the AFU). Patrice has also been one of several French researchers that have helped me to get some of the relevant permissions. Patrice has also patiently answered various questions to give me some insight into the history and politics of French ufology - which appear to be almost as complicated as the divisions and politics of ufology here in the UK or in the USA. :)

@irvingquester Achtung !
